My name is Mavis Rainey and I live with my husband Cliff in Wellington Point, Brisbane. We used to live over on Stradbroke Island but Cliff retired recently and I was having some medical issues. We decided to buy a place closer to transport, medical facilities and the kids. We found a place that suited our needs and arranged for a building inspection and ended up buying the house. We were informed that there had been some previous termite activity but this had all been fixed up and the termite inspection was up-to-date. A previous contract on this house had fallen through because of moisture in the shower‟ but the previous owner provided us with an invoice showing that the shower had been 'resealed' and included a 12 year Guarantee. The building inspector told us that everything looked fine so we proceeded with the purchase of the home. Our troubles really started about three months later because the two-way bathroom backs onto our bedroom and we were having trouble sleeping because of this incredible heavy, mouldy, musty smell. It was really stinking out the back of the house and we were even having trouble breathing in the back rooms. After a lot of mucking around we found out that the shower was still leaking and worse than that; this leak had brought the termites back into the house. I can't tell you just how upsetting and unsettling this was, especially on top of the medical problems I was having. I really did not need this sort of stress and heartache. I rang the termite treatment company and I rang the shower resealing company and I even rang the building inspector and the Real Estate Agent that we bought the property off. Not one of them would help us not one of them even offered me any sort of helpful advice.

Luckily, we found a really good termite company that came in and got rid of the termites. This company recommended Andrew Nicholls from Just Showers, to look at the leak in the shower.

What a godsend Andrew was; he came in and took the time to explain everything to us, about how and why our shower was leaking and what we needed to do to fix it, permanently. I asked Andrew to start straight away and within two weeks the whole job was finished, all the termite damage had been repaired and Andrew had replaced the rotten plasterboard, put in new cornice and even fixed the doorway and wall in our bedroom.

I am ever so grateful to Andrew for his professionalism, honesty and he was an absolute pleasure to work with and created a beautiful shower for us.
